No. A pallet that works with a forklift is not automatically suitable for an automated conveyor. The conveyor may depend on particular bottom-board positions, continuous contact surfaces, dimensional tolerances and an approved travel orientation. Gaps, protruding fasteners, loose components or an incompatible base can interrupt movement. The conveyor manufacturer’s requirements should determine what pallet designs are acceptable.

Share the equipment specification and the intended load with your pallet supplier before ordering a production quantity. Include the travel direction, transfer points and any sensors or automatic handling stages, and arrange appropriate sample validation through the equipment operator. A standard outside footprint alone is not a compatibility test. Our pallet technology article covers the wider automation trend; this check is about the exact pallet-to-machine interface at your facility.
