Confirm ownership before including branded rental or pooled pallets in a sale or recycling collection. Receiving goods on a pallet does not necessarily mean ownership of that pallet has transferred to your business. For example, CHEP states that its blue pallets remain its property and should be returned through its collection process. Follow the relevant pool operator’s instructions for its equipment.
When sorting a mixed stack, separate clearly identified pool pallets from pallets your business owns and keep uncertain items aside until the owner or supplier clarifies their status.
