A pallet chamfer is a bevel cut along a specified board edge. On some wooden pallets, chamfers on bottom deckboards help pallet-jack wheels pass over the board edge during entry or exit. A chamfer changes the edge shape; it is different from a notch cut into a stringer to create a side opening.
A specification should identify where the chamfer is required rather than describing the entire pallet as chamfered. Its presence alone does not prove compatibility with a particular jack, because wheel dimensions, fork height and the rest of the base still matter.
